Which one ? is best ?, I have now a Fujitsu N6110-503 is really good but a measly 4200RPM HD I dont like that at all, should I buy a 7200RPM for it ?

Or just get a Cheap ABS notebook im Confused a bit, what is thee best laptop ? From what I hear Toshiba is best then Fujitsu.

Plz help my internet friends ? 🙂

Heh... You left out Lenovo ThinkPads.

Fujitsu make a good machine, Toshiba seems to be on a quality comeback of sorts lately.

But the ThinkPad still rules the nest when it comes to quality and durability in a standard notebook.

But they are horrid on what you really get in hand for the price. Just great build quality and Tech support.

If the only thing you don't like about yours is HD, I would just change it. I know what you mean about the 4200 HDs though, they are horribley slow.

I believe ASUS laptops are also supposed to be good quality, but I have no experience with them. I agree Toshiba and Fujitsu are probably the best out of those though.

My current is a Fujitsu N6110-503 Its really cool, But weighs a ton, I guess I did better then my before HP-L2105NR LiveStrong.

The 17 Inch is is so beutiful and I found out that Fujitsu's Is WAY better !!! BUT the guy at Fry;s says or claims that Toshiba is Best well ok, I went with what I wanted, And added a extra 1GB DDR2 PC4200 RAM WoooT !

I was slightly dissapointed with the Acer Ferrari build quality, it's good but the carbon fibre lid seems a little too flexible.

IBM and Toshiba are my fav 2 notebook brands, though right now im on a Dell D600 which I really like 😀

I think IBM makes the most duable notebooks but they are deffinitly the hardest to work on, so many screws compared to other brands -_-

The reason why you notice more screws in the IBM laptop than in the Toshiba laptop, is because Toshiba leaves the screws for the customers 😉, but IBM finds a more productive way of using them.

OH and BTW IBM > (Insert any company)

The perception that ThinkPads are expensive is mostly untrue. You can get great and competitive deals on them, and to be honest when they are more expensive, it's worth it.

Too many try to compare THinkPads against the price of Dell's/HP's, etc consumer lines. A fari comparison would be against their business lines. In other words - not against Inspirons.

ThinkPads are amazing machines. They're just all-around good; they're a little more expensive than some other manufacturers, but they're worth it. However, they're
Asus has good-quality machines which perform well, but the tech support is abysmal; in addition, they're usually sold in barebones form. Buying them through a reseller who assembles it (puts in RAM, HDD, processor) is a good idea; JNCS has good tech support.
Acer is supposed to be good, but they're a mixed bag. HP/Compaq is also a bit of a mixed bag; but I've heard some good things about them.
ABS is supposed to be good; they usually use decent shells in producing them. However, they're a bit pricey.

Thinkpads are the best. Then probably Toshiba.

I disagree with that. Thinkpads yes, Toshiba? Hardly. Just about every other laptop he named with the possible exception of ASUS would be my chioce over the Toshiba.

Also agree that the HP nc6200 is a good laptop. I have a nc6220 for work... good laptop.
