My girlfriend loves notebook mice. I'm not exactly sure why, but I can't argue with her in wanting computer parts as presents. :) I don't believe she is very picky, but she says she wants it to be "cute." By definition, a smaller mouse is "cute" so I don't think it matters. She doesn't want it as small as possible, as she still wants to be able to use it, but I'm thinking that a smaller optical mouse w/wheel would fit the bill. I don't seem to see many with the wheel. Does anyone have any recommendations?

depens on what she considers "cute" (aside from "small") Best Buy has a Kingston which is plain but it's very small.

Logitech has a pretty sweet brushed aluminum one. I believe MSI has released it relabeled as a "gaming mouse" it's a bit bigger but still small.

both have the wheel

I found a mini notebook laser mouse from a minor brand that has a spring loaded spool in the middle of the cable. Extend it all the way and then a bit, it'll zip back into the spool. Neat. Can't remember what the brand was though. It was only 13 euros, so it's no ripoff either.
