notebook hdd for external drive

i got one of those kits that makes notebook drives external so that i could use a standard notebook drive as a big floppy

i always hear good things about maxtor desktop drives but maxtor doesn't seem to make notebook drives

my notebook drive is ibm

should i just get another ibm drive?

IBM and Toshiba laptop drives are probably the best in the business. Stick with those two.
