I was thinking of getting a Dell Notebook that came with a 15" SVGA TFT display. I noticed the new ones come with a Super XGA+ TFT display? What is the difference between the two and is it noticable? Thanks.

Thanks guys. Darn, 800x600 might be a little much for a 15" screen.

I doubt Dell is selling a 15" SVGA laptop, that's probably a misprint as I haven't seen any 15" TFT that wasn't at least XGA. The only SVGA Dell I saw browsing their site was a 12" screen, they even have a XGA 12.1" option.

They don't make 15" SVGA screens anymore AFAIK, and IMO 800x600 would be too big anyways. (my mom has that on her 12" laptop, and I think it's too big) 1024x768 or 1400x1050 seem good, but I don't think I'd want to run 1600x1200 without a microscope.
