Banned
Hi all....gf just got an Acer TravelMate 220 for free and I'm wondering what all I can do... So far I plan on: going from 128 to 512 pc133 RAM, 4200RPM(?) to a 7200RPM HDD...and I would also like to upgrade the 1.13 celeron proc....can it be done, and how high can I go???

not sure that you will be able to upgrade the CPU. mobile CPUs are usually not removable from the motherboard without excessive difficulty.

That's really not been the case in a long time since the mobile P3 MPGA2 days. The major factor is whether your bios can support the faster speeds -- only a small handful can. Dells are usually the most successful in this regard.
