I have a notebook featuring a Intel t2350 cpu. It's a nice piece of equipment but lacks speed for my purposes (Photoshop editing) and a boost would be welcome...

What would be a good CPU upgrade for me?

Thank you in advance,

Olga

isn't it a socket m chip?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/L...Core_Mobile_Processors

there's a list of the yonah chips, you should stick to one with the same voltage requirements and tdp. also it would be best to get one with the same fsb. i'm not 100% sure if you can throw a core 2 duo in there, but i think you can. if so then you should look into that, if not then one of those higher clocked core duo's is your best option.

go to notebookforums.com

You will find more people who are experienced with the subject there. That's where I learned how to pinmod (overclock) my Laptop and install a better video card

You should be able to swap it for another Yonah processor, there was a chipset change from Yonah to Merom. If you post your make and model of laptop it might help =)

isn't Socket M a 478 pin socket?

i believe so, but one of the pins is moved to a different spot compared to the desktop 478 platform so they're not pin compatible.
