Notebook chassis

I have an HP Omnibook XE3 that is well travelled. So well travelled, in fact, that there are hairline cracks developing at each corner of the chassis... I assume from the wear and tear it is subjected to whilst being transported in its laptop bag.

I know that repair shops regularly replace the internals, but I've never heard of replacing the chassis. Does anyone know if such a service is provided? And if so, if it's worth it?
