So I leave for a full week. zero computer access or anything. Got back today, all my sites are down because my host did a server move and I was not around to switch DNS, so I did it and mime types are all screwed up so the host still needs to fix that. I'm debating on moving my main cash cows to my dedicated server but reluctant as I don't want to put too much load on it or it will lag the game server. So it's a waiting game now.

So I put that aside then I go check out my house which I just bought and is ready for contractors to begin work Monday. I had people "help" paint while we were gone. Wrong colors everywhere AND very poor job. OMG. Have to go buy new paint tomorrow and pretty much repaint half the house.

Can't leave for a week without everything turning to chaos.

The only good news is, the IT manager wont be around this coming week so I get a break from him at work. That guy is a total psycho. We'd all love to plot his termination from the company, but he's not really doing anything bad, he's just an overall asshole.

I just took a week-long vacation and I am dreading the amount of work I have piled up. I did receive daily update emails from my secretary however.

A few weeks ago I was gone from work on a Friday, then the whole following week. When I came back, I had about 1200 unread e-mails and load of work.

i will be away from work for 5 weeks, back a week and a half then away again for 4 weeks :S

Yeah it's sad really, can't even take a break without work piling up these days. I'm pretty much in same boat, though in my case it's mostly personal stuff. I'm sure at work it will be the same though, I'll probably have a good 700-1000 emails total. about 80% are deletes though. Like 20 emails sent to all employees about a BBQ that will happen next year, and lot of junk like that.

The vacation was a family vacation at Wasaga Beach, it was great and all but with the kids and stuff it was more hectic then anything, did not really relax.
