On my MS Intellimouse, it dims if it's off the desk for more than a few seconds. Probably a safeguard for the dumbasses that shined it in their eyes in the first place =)

It also dims if you don't move it for a few seconds. Probably some insane power saving feature :p

What's even worse is a friend who covers the little sensor and shines the mouse into your eyes. That LED travels a long ways... :)

hm my logitech dims too.. are you sure it wouldn't cause damage? Just looking from the side its very very bright.. they do warn u against it.

it's not as strong as a laser. ;-)


anyway... my white ones for my case are brighter =)

any bright light you look at for an extended period of time can cause damage.

i mean, you don't stare at the sun, do you?
