Just heat up a butterknife on your stove until it's red hot then and then touch the tip to the bleeding spot. Guaranteed to stop the bleeding and stop any infection.

An idea for removing it but the bleeding stopped long ago. I posted this last night. Would be disturbing to me if it was still going.

Could be that I cut a larger blood vessel. I've done this a number of times actually, lol. :p

FFS, just freeze it. Lot less pain and hassle.

PS, don't need a doctor - there are kits for home use now.

Had a wart on my left index finger for months and months now. Just been too lazy to go out and get a proper wart removal kit or go to the doctor to get it removed. I know the porper way is either by acid or get the doctor to freeze it off. What I've been doing is using a nailclipper to cut the top of the wart off when it get's hard and crusty. Sometimes I cut too deep though and it bleeds like a fucker. Annoying thing is I cut this over an hour ago and it's still bleeding a bit, like those cuts you get from shaving that never seem to stop bleeding. How long is it normal for these types of cuts to bleed anyway?

I did this many moons ago, it bled for a long long time. but that was the end of the wart problem.

Because I don't want you to continue going on being a SAD little man.

We met like twice and you don't even know me, lol. Besides this is a comedic thread, if the wart really did bother me that much it would be gone by now. Again, just put me on ignore or stop reading my threads. Aren't you supposed to have a bitching real life to get back to anyway? You used to anyway, hardly ever saw you on here before.

I don't know why you'd decide that it's a good idea to chop off a body part, even an unwanted one, with nail clippers... That seems like a recipe for disaster. Man up and use an axe.

Interesting so you consider warts to be a body part. :hmm:

Those little bandaids with the goop work. I had one on my thumb for years and never felt like dealing with it. Got some bandaids, was gone in two days. 3 years later never came back.

Ummm... yes? It's a thing on your body. Sure, it's an unsightly blemish that no one wants, but it's still part of your body. That's why when you sliced through it, you bled. Warts, pimples, boils, abscesses, cysts, corns, hives, bunions, goiters, whatever growth or blemish affects you, it's still part of your body. I'm not saying it should be added to the song "Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes," but it's hard to argue that those blemishes aren't part of your body.

Yes of course but it's stretching the term more than a bit.

Never did a wart, but did clip a couple or pesky blackheads off, near my eyes. It did bleed a bit for a few hours, but eventually stopped. So far, those blackheads have not returned. Should see a dermatologist to get rid of the other ones I can't do myself.

You cut off blackheads? The things you would normally squeeze out of your pore?

What I've learned over the years is to just ignore until it eventually goes away by itself. No point hurting yourself over it.
