Note to self: Always check your bank statements

I just moved and I was finally reviewing my bank statements for the last 3 months. It turns out that Geico doesn't always cancel your car insurance policy even when you call them. Their AOL tactics sucked out $600 out of my bank account for the last 3 months! :Q

I'm sitting here on hold while the lady figures it out. Ok, she said that their GIBSON screwed up and didn't stop the directpay like it was suppose to so it kept right on sucking $$$. They fixed it now and said expect a check in the my hands in a week! 😀

Well! Guess I'm getting a nice refund even before my tax refund! 😀 😛

If someone sucked $600 out of my account in the last 3 months, I'd be on my Arse, and the bank would be hitting me up for some G's

Well, when the AF moves you they pay you lots of money for expenses, since they have been paying up I just saw the total balance fluctuate now and again. And of course my form of balancing my budget doesn't help: as long as the ATM doesn't show -money I'm ok.

Heh, but seriously, normally I at least check my account online weekly to see what's up but I haven't for a while. That's how I finally caught the one for this month and realized they have been doing it since Nov!

HA! No, I wish, I have about 0.0055% of that and only because it's the down payment to my house which is closing in a week! Expect a thread on that later!

If you want, we could probably hack the Gibson...

If my bank accounts or cc's are off by $5 or more, I notice.

Online banking, what would I do without it?

I always make sure the amount that I write out on checks is the amount that is taken out of the bank account. Sometimes its off by a little amount. Over time it adds up.

I would have asked them to do a wire transfer (making sure they covered the fee for this). They took a payment out a month early from my checking account and I called and raised hell until they did the wire transfer.
