Oliver Stone wants to make a Movie about Bush.

I think that venture will be a waste of time and money. We really don't need a replay of how one of the biggest buffoons in history wrecked the country. I know I wouldn't pay good money to see it. Of course, maybe some of the asslicking, Bushwhacko neocons might like it.

Actually I think the timing would be good, at the end of his presidency there is a movie we can all use to reflect. But it won't be fairly done, even if he says it will, because as much as I've loved some Stone films he is not fair at all. Even in Salvador, one of my favorite movies of all time, he is extremely biased.

With our country at war, a recession going on, etc... people aren't going to want to see a downer anti-US movie. Look at how the Mark Cuban movie failed, how the Tom Cruise movie failed, etc...

I hope he makes it and it bombs.

Didn't they already make a movie about that starring Cliff Robertson called "Charly" based on the play "Flowers for Algernon" by Daniel Keyes?

Hopefully they'll include the part where this clueless bumbling idiot still somehow managed to beat the best the Democrats had to offer in
two consecutive presidential elections...

Still working on the script and it's supposed to be out by November? Sounds like a rushed piece of crap.

He could cover that in one title card:
"The best argument against democracy is a five minute conversation with the average voter" - Winston Churchill

Well it makes sense, don't you think? I mean, its not like we had extensive media coverage of every aspect of his presidency or anything. Not only that, but your opinion of Bush will have already been made, and thus it doesn't matter to reflect now. They should have made it so it would come out before this year's elections, or else wait 10+ years to get better hindsight.

Oh well, its not like I'd go see it anyways. A movie like that about any president wouldn't be my cup of tea.
