If you're heading West to snare a buy at Fry's, be certain to land in Oregon where there is No Sales Tax. Fry's Woodburn store is a few minutes south of Portland.

Fry's postings in the past have made the point clearly,
that Fry's won't ship 'sale' items (says right on their webpage).
B&amp;M only on sales.

Well, reading the rebate information it says that the only criteria of multiple purchase and rebates are that 1 rebate per 1 HD. It says nothing about single customer limits. I assume that means that you will get 75 dollars back per hd you buy.

I say again, the rebate must be postmarked no later than june 21.
 
The rebate postmark by 6-21 leaves me no time to make arrangements to order or have a friend pick it up. I called WD and they do not have a rebate program themselves, so it's Fry's or nothing.
Guess I'm out of luck on this one.
 
Got one, and you kno wuts fry's price is? Must be about 180. Cause my friend is an employee and he can buy stuff at 10% over costs, wow I got a whole $8 discount! But every dollar counts I got it cheaper than you!
 
actually guys, I think you can make an order over the phone. If you look around on the website I believe I saw a number you can call to make an order over the phone from California I think. Not sure about the shipping cost or if everything will be the same price, but maybe someone can try it and find out.
 
Is this a good deal? I went to Fry's on Sunday and they had a case load of these hard drive. I should have gotten one of it about a couple of weeks ago, when they had it (I think it's the 5400RPM version) for only $95 after rebate.
 
BTW, the item needs to be purchased by June 21, but one has 14 days to send in the rebate, according to the ever-helpful Laksmhi, who read to me a part of the rebate form. It does not, i.e., need to be postmarked by then.
 
And one other correction of a previous post: they'll ship outside California. At least, they're doing so to me, with no problem whatever.
 
Fry's is coming to Chicago! I heard a rumor and I'm hoping it is true. I know they suck for some things but Best Buy, Circuit City, etc. suck more.
