So the Note comes out in March 2012, now the Note 2 will probably be out in October. This is okay to people? This is almost as bad as the Note coming out and the SG3 coming out a few months later and Samsung saying the Note wouldn't be getting the S-Voice update and people should go buy an SG3 if they want it. I think I'll wait until February 2013 and just get the Note 3.

I own a note and would love for them to bring out a note 2. I'm not sure when tech geeks started thinking new tech coming out asap was a bad thing?

eh we do but you really have no choice when it comes to wanting a powerful device. you either have to go with the absurdly large screen sizes or you're relegated to a craptastic phone.

it may be choice but it's not that much choice. i'd say an analogy is the "choice" the sentenced victims got in TDKR in exile or death...

I think choice would've been if we had a 4", 4.5", and 5" version of the GS3. All without sacrificing hardware specs.

Sorry you have women hands. I personally laugh when having to use my wife's iphone.

If it follows the same schedule the US release of the Note 2 wouldn't be until Feb-Mar anyways.

People in the US SHOULD be complaing about why it takes so f'n long to get phones once they're released overseas. There shouldn't be a 4 month wait between the Note launch and the Note US launch. F'n carriers.

I don't think it's fair to say we're shoe-horned into huge phones to get the latest and greatest. The One S is the perfect example of this. Also, isn't the new droid even smaller at only 4"? It's really only Samsung that left out a smaller option for their top-end.

As far as the new note, if it's exynos 5 dual (i hate the new names) or krait pro (which is my preference) I'll be alllllllll over that thing. We're so close to the new architecture that I feel this is one of the rare times where waiting for the next best thing is actually a good idea. Once the A15/krait pro's are out, then you can buy safely without being outdated in 2 days. It'll only take 4 then :)

The One S has an unacceptable resolution. It's a complete non-starter for me.

What was the point of releasing the Note 1 on TMO recently? Its the same underpowered Snapdragon S3 that debuted on AT&T months ago. Kinda crappy to see it replaced by an S4 or E4Q in a short month.

Course, I am looking forward to the E4Q Note 10.1. Its resolution is a little low, but I'm interesting in seeing Samsung return to the tablet market in force instead of their last few half assed launched.

Uhh what? A new device coming out doesn't make something that already exists any worse.. The ability to say "This is the newest thing" is completely without value.

I think there are plenty of people who have average sized hands who will tell you going beyond 4.3" is difficult. I'm in that group. I have medium sized hands. If you wear large or XL gloves, sure you could definitely go larger.

What is the challenge with that size combo? I've never quite understood (not snide comment, genuinely asking).

I have small hands (XS gloves when available, otherwise have to buy S), and find the wife's HTC EVO 3D (4.3" screen) pretty easy to work with. I'm using a 4.1" Motorola Triumph (with clunky, squared off casing), and constantly wishing for bigger. I would think with medium sized hands, it would feel even smaller.

AT&T probably paid to have exclusive rights for 6 months. T-Mobile is lame bringing out Note1 now though. They should have waited and asked for Note2.

I was one of the doubters of the initial Note. I thought it wouldn't sell. I was wrong. I failed to account for the females and their purse. Females love the size of the Note and it's perfect size to carry in the purse. It's cute and practical at the same time.

Doesnt the Note have a decent digitiser as well? I could imagine a load of people bought it for that reason as well.

The US (& Canadian) Note were delayed compared to the International version, which came out last year. If the Galaxy S 3 is any indication, Samsung is switching to a more harmonious North America/World release schedule, so the Note 3 would come out around the same time everywhere.
