I thought it may be interesting to share with you guys, the numbers are far higher than what I would have expected. Will update later with old TW 1.8ghz results:

Note 2 @ 1.92Ghz /533mhz GPU (pegasusq governor), Carbon Rom 5/4/13 nightly:

Antutu 3.3:~20,300

3dMark: ~4500
-Graphics: 3800 (test1: ~12fps, test2: ~27fps)
-Demo: ~29fps
-Physics: ~12300 (~39fps)

Epic Citadel 56fps (big surprise here)

Vellamo (latest version): 2469 HTML5 ~730 Metal

Geekbench 2.4: 2566 (int:2237,fp:3832,memory:1806,stream:815)

GLBench
2.5HD off screen:19
2.5HD onscreen: 19
Fill rate onscreen:800Mpixels

Compared to 1.8ghz/800mhz GPU on TouchWiz (Clean Rom 4.7/Perseus 34.2)
Antutu ~18,800,
Geekbench ~ 2300
Citadel 49fps
Vellamo ~2050/700
3DMark ~ 3800 graphics, ~11500 Physics.
GLBench2.5HD off screen:20fps
GLBench2.5HD onscreen:21fps
Fill rate onscreen ~1.3gpixels/s

With aggressive undervolting, battery lasts 6-8 hours screen time @ high brightness (70-100%) during browsing, 1-2 days moderate use. This is a very fast device; I was amazed to see CPU performance proximal to the latest phones out there, and with the Note 2's large battery, these are usable clocks.

I find the 4.2.2 AOSP roms benchmark better than the 4.1.2 Touchwiz Roms

I'm using Best International Stock rom with Perseus right now -I'm running 1800 MHz CPU and 640 MHz GPU with 400 MHZ and 266 MHz minimums (Higher min's than stock 200/166). I have had great luck with Carbon and Sons of Android 4.2.2 but always end up missing the TW Camera App.

Truth is - I'm running Best International Stock Rom (TW 4.1.2) for the TW Camera App - but chose the AOSP based install so everything looks AOSP. Love the Per App DPI in TW. Very smooth and fast too.

Benchmarks are great - but in daily usage they mean very little.

I am getting my sprint note 2 tonight. Is there a rom you guys use that is an ultra stable cleaned out version of the stock rom? I had an evo that I used to put roms on but nothing ever worked as well as the stock roms that were "cleaned up" and optimized. From what I understand touchwiz is excellent on the note 2. However I want on the go tethering for my ipad and other random devices. 4.2 would be nice but that may come at a cost of stability.

I was thinking synergy?
Jellybomb looks cool but does not have touchwiz.

4.2.2 brought so much to the table in terms of performance improvements to the S2 that I feel it should have been the next android. Perhaps it isn't as apparent on an already-fast phone, but I'm not surprised by your results.

I'm running the stock shipping AT&T rom with Perseus kernel, and I'm only using that because of Perseus' "Privacy Mode". I'm completely happy with the performance of the device as stock.

Did you guys have problems with gps not locking with carbon?
Tried the latest nightly and the regular carbon and paranoid rom both are aosp roms but gps would not lock at all.

Had to go back to a rouch wiz rom for now (jellybeans) since its the only one that gps has no issues

I don't have my note 2 yet but I know every samsung phone that I've put a aosp rom on has had gps issues, so I just end up manually stripping the stock rom and it speeds it up quite a bit too getting rid of the junk I don't ever use.
