Notable Video Games of Value

I have a small obsession with obscure yet valuable video games. It takes a strange combination of being a great game, that did poorly upon release so that few copies were printed. However, if the game is so good that a new version is released, whether it be a greatest hits or for a new system, it usually destroys the value of the original print, e.g. Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo or Castlevania: SOTN.

Here is a list of some of the gems I have found over the years (non-greatest hits print if applicable)

Intelligent Qube (PS1)
Einhander (PS1)
Lunar (PS1)
Rez (PS2)
Disgaia (PS2)
Super Metroid (SNES)
Ogre Battle (SNES)
Samba De Amigo (DC) Best Party Game Ever

Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (PS1 non GHits), Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo (PS1), Marval Vs. Capcom 2 (DC) and Final Fantasy Tactics (PS1) would also be in this list had second printings of these games not been released, though I still consider them gems.

What are some of your favorite hidden treasures?

Yeah, particularly Super Metroid, but I think it's still worth like $30-$40 which is pretty good for a SNES game and for some reason it fell under my radar during it's original release. If not SM, which are you referring to?

JohnAn, I've noticed those too, but I can't bring myself to spend $100 on a game. :D
