I was wondering that people could recognize you not only by your ip-address but some kind of information from your computer. What could that be?

Depends what you mean. For example if you join an IRC channel your host information will show up, and a simple ping command will show your IP. Server logs or certain scripts can be made to log the browser, OS and version of requests as well as the IP.
