Using a DLink DI-624 wireless router, up to 54 Mbp/s 802.11g.
My laptop has Intel Pro Wireless Card 2200, 802.11 B/G.
I also have a desktop that is wired to the router at 100 Mbp/s.
When transfering files from desktop to my laptop or vice versa; it seems, from using Windows Task Manager, that I'm only using about 33% of my 54 Mbp/s. I'm also at times just 5 feet from the router and still using 33% or so.
Is that normal? Or is there something I can do to get more bandwidth out of it?
Also, in the system tray it shows I'm connected at "54 Mbp/s" well, that is what Windows XP is saying...
