I seem to recall that someone posted an article on here years ago - some court ruled that the cartoons are legal, as long as they're not made by altering the images of real footage to make it look like cartoons. (something like that) Regardless, if they are legal, I'd have no problem with an DA who attempted to make an example out of you, resulting in a "not guilty", but alerting the entire community to your actions.
