as the saying goes, The difference between reality and fiction? Fiction has to make sense.

If there is a benevolent alien race, perhaps they will view it more merciful that humanity gets a hard reset. Maybe the Reapers from Mass Effect can come and do their thing. I dunno. I just can't even anymore.

I know Trump supporters around here that claim he's actually smart, just bad with his words... They read this and stand by that. Perhaps you are right about the reset.

He actually said, "It is a great day for him." referring to Floyd. The best part of this whole briefing:

Asked how the rate of unemployment among black Americans can be considered a "victory" as it continues to increase, the president told White House reporter Yamiche Alcindor, "You are really something."

He sounds like he is living in his own little fantasy world where the words she said are fake.
Trump is the personification of his own voting bloc. Just with a silver spoon in his mouth from day 1.
Point is, he is completely detached from reality.

Yes Mr. President... we also wish you have a "great day" like Mr. Floyd. Oh, wait...

God Trump is so predictable. I saw a big uptick in the market yesterday, and I knew that there would be a presser by the Orange Menace today, once again spiking the ball on the 20 yard line. Cagey not.

We are up to what 48million laid off in two months but unemployment is only 13%?

Well, you see, its the democrats fault so it shouldn't count against Trump. Obviously...

You know, sort of how Trumps stock market numbers are on the same trajectory as Obama's yet Trump gets the credit.

Everything good in the economy is due to trickle down... Didn't you learn anything from Reagan?

This is just a demonstration of his amazing emotional intelligence. Here's a snippet from a recent tweet:
I’ve done more for Black Americans, in fact, than any President in U.S. history, with the possible exception of another Republican President, the late, great, Abraham Lincoln...and it’s not even close.

I added the bold. It's a close call, really. Emancipation vs. rubber bullets and smoke bombs and COVID.

He also said we had "the greatest economy in the history of the world."

I don't think the "world" is big enough. He should be saying "the cosmos" or "the universe."

No civilization within 14 billion light years has ever seen a sentient being as great as Trump.

He's sure of it.

Yeah he has said he done more than any president in the past. It's obvious his handlers have told him to stop doing that, because, you know, Lincoln. But he can't just come out and say Lincoln was better. That is unacceptable. We'll just say it's "possible," and at the same time plug Republicans.

As if anyone hasn't noticed... Trump is not a POTUS in any traditional sense: he is a conman and a showman. As a conman, his concern is telling people what he thinks they want to hear. As a showman, his concern is saying things that are provocative and self-aggrandizing. He has no motivation to care about whether his words are true or helpful. That shit worked when he was a private citizen. But now that he's President, he's finding his usual bullshit doesn't work that way. Sure he still has his base of people that will believe anything and he loves that. But, Trump doesn't know how to handle this amount of criticism. He's never had to before.

And really...Trump was never a great conman. His specialty was finding the proverbial "some people you can fool all of the time" and then fooling them. Everyone else just ignored Trump as an obvious blowhard.

Un-fscking-believable.
George Floyd: I can't breathe!
Donald Trump: Those unemployment numbers sure are breathtaking.

"It’s a great day for him, it’s a great day for everybody. It’s a great day for everybody. This is a great, great day.” "

As I said in another thread.
A great day for George Floyd?
He's dead asshole. So no.

So now it is coming out that Trump was not referring to the jobs numbers when he brought up Floyd. Way to feed the LMSM bullshit, "journalists."

Nah, watch the comments in context. He was referring to the protests and awareness that we are currently seeing, in his own stupid rambling way.

There's context. He's a rambling idiot. Specifically directed towards the comment that is the subject of the OP.

WTF????!!!!

This is the transcript.

Equal justice under the law must mean that every American receives equal treatment in every encounter with law enforcement, regardless of race, color, gender or creed, they have to receive fair treatment from law enforcement. They have to receive it. We all saw what happened last week. We can’t let that happen. Hopefully George is looking down right now and saying, “This is a great thing that’s happening for our country.” This is a great day for him. It’s a great day for everybody. This is a great day for everybody. This is a great, great day in terms of equality. It’s really what our constitution requires and it’s what our country is all about.

How in the fuck is this a good day for someone who is dead?
Why is he putting words in a dead man's mouth?
How in the fuck is this a great great day for equality?

I cannot believe how he is disrespecting George Floyd. It is entirely despicable. Revolting.
