Not Sure Where To Post This One

Man, just try asking about piracy protection software and expect some large caliper incoming AG from all sides with plenty of diaper wetting!

So you are probably wondering if I'm not intentionally wanting to raise a stink, why do it?

Well, I play one video game only. Yes, a very narrow minded old man I am! It is... get this name!... Forgotten Battles/Ace Expansion Pack/Pacific Fighters combined install patched to the 4.04 version... whew! It is estimated that a very small crowd of like 2,000,000 people play the game. Problem is, less than 50,000 people actually purchased a legal version of the game. This has led to some extreme problems. The primary code puncher for the game is Oleg Maddox at...

http://www.1c.ru/

He wrecked his car a while back and in order to get him to work and punching code again, we had to hold what amounted to a fund raiser to get him on the road again! Piracy is about to kill the last of the serious flight sim developers out there. I am as a result, vitally interested in this subject like it or not!

I want to ask about Starforce. Before you come back with it, I've been to both the Starforce site and the ban Starforce site and found many half truths. Back home we used to call them lies!

I want to put the thread in the programming section, but am afraid it will get all diaper smelly in a hurry. Which forum should I post this Starforce question in?

Ok, it's posted over in Software forum along with a warning that I'll PM the mods for a lock in a hurry if it gets out of hand. Thank you for your experience and judgement. I'm here to help and learn and NOT cause a stink!

Wow I wish we had more people like you in video

Should have thrown in the link too.

Well, I think that shows how short we are on facts vs. hysteria on both sides of the issue at hand. I just wish it wasn't so. I'll try and throw my thoughts out at this point and see if anyone wants to add something of substance and not be wetting material!

Yeppers! Only a Russian could think a game called...

Flaming Cliffs

would sell in the States!

That aside, Lock-On Modern is still the best modern jet flight sim out there. The Flaming thing is an ad-on for it and for modern jet jockies, well worth it.

Oleg Maddox used to be a vital part of the Evil Empire so to speak. He designed radar jamming gear and radar jamming countermeasures ans weapons tracking systems. He now punches game code.

People hated Lock-On when it came out because the code was punched 4 years in advance of what PC's could handle. If interested, you can get Lock-On used at about any EA games for $10.00 U.S.
