Ok here my situation i have right now on-hand a QX6850, (2) 8800 Ultra overclocked want to run SLI cards a Silencer 750W PS and i Striker Extreme MB am i better off using this.. I can also get a QX9650 but the MB i have will not work with the Striker as we all know. What do you think I'm better off doing sticking with what i have or wait for the new MB to come out and go that route? Also on a side note if i do stick with the QX6850 what kind of OC do you think i will get.. I'm using water cooling for the record??

Thanks

Why go the other route when not mobo's come out? Might as well wait for a new architecture or revision. You can overclock what you have, and you're not going to see that much of an improvement unless your just always running folding. 3.6-4.2 Can be expected. Some people can make it to 4ghz on air, so as long as you have decent water you can expect the same. But there are always variations on manufacturing. I think 3.6-3.8 as a quick OC should be a good goal.

If you do get the 9650 and are going to throw out the 6850, let me know- my 939 system died and I might pick up a p5k-e
