Not sure if this is an option or not....

I dont know if this is implemented or can be or what, but perhaps we could make a maximum amount of words per post.

Set it at something that no one is likely to hit typing a valid, coherent post. That may, in the event of a spammer, minimize damages.

Again, not sure if it is/can be implemented but might be a good idea.

Lol... it would hinder their quoting of articles and providing no commentary.

This makes it that much more appealing eh 🙂...

Why? Do you have recent examples of huge spam threads?

What about informative posts such as this?

I was kinda thinking of a higher cap than that 😉

Examples, i believe we have a troll that was just pwned by the mods overloading threads.

I will do that, but part of me thinks that there may be something like that already, perhaps just not implemented, or implemented to allow far too large posts.

Jason, is there anyway you can tell us whether or not this is in Fusetalk or if i should put it in the ol' suggestion bin.

you'd have to negate quoted items. i lost half my allocated character numbers by quoting you otherwise 😀

But yea, i'm digusted when people link to an article like 5 pages long (fine), post their opinion about it (still fine), then post the same 5-page article in case noone wanted to click the link (NOOB ALERT!)
