Not sure if my firmware update on the WGT624v2 took effect?

I just upgraded from 4.2.4 to the latest 4.2.11. Under netgears updating steps it says to do a factory reset which is a button on the back of the router for restoring, i presssed it but after that My settings remained the same before update was done and it did not change to the default settings?

does that mean the firmware was not updated correctly? although under router settings it shows the latest firmware?

any help appreciated, thanks in advance
 
There is a screen in the Router's interface that tells you the current version of the firmware.
