I would say more than half the postings or ads are damn spam. "Free Ipod!" "500 dollar Best Buy gift card for 50 dollars!!!"

So get flagging, I'm sure it gets spammed everywhere, but it's up to the users to flag spam so it's removed.

Seems fairly active here in the Detroit area.

We posted an ad for my son's "Race Car" bed, when he decided he was to old for it (LOL), and had it sold in less than a day.

EXTREMELY active in my area. I pass the offices of Craigslist almost every weekday taking my daughter to school. I just picked up a 40 gig 5400 rpm laptop drive and two batteries for a thinkpad x22(last about two hours each) for $65 last night. No other forsale/wanted forums compares with Craigslist for fast deals but you have to watch out what you buy.

Craigslist rocks!

Craigslist rocks!

Well you're lucky enough to live where it originated. :p

Thriving in my city, too.

It's pretty good in Philly for me. My girlfriend and I pretty much bought/got for free all the furniture that we had in our apartment from cl.

It's horrible for my hometown of Tulsa. It's great for larger cities. I found apartments in every city I've lived in since through Craigslist.

In all of my snooping in the Santa Barbara (CA) computer section, I've only seen one item for sale in my home town. I bought it and it was a great deal.
