Not sure about NV20

I've seen lots of specs for the NV20 and they look awesome. But there's one thing I'm not sure about. I've seen multiple times that it's supposed to have 200 MHz DDR SDRAM giving it 6.4 GB/s of bandwidth. I've also seen it having a fillrate of 1.6 GPixels/s.

A GF2 GTS is bandwidth limited at 200 MHz DDR so how can we expect the NV20 not to be? (especially when it has a higher fillrate)

The only solution I can think of is if it were to have a 256 bit memory bus, but I haven't seen any specs regarding the width of the memory bus. That would give us 12.8 GB/s which would almost completely solve any bandwidth problems.

I hope it does have a 256 bit bus or else the only good thing about it will be that it will push GF2 and GF256 prices down. Thanks guys. :)

Yeah the NV20 is still a mystery right now. But I hope that nVidia gets it together and kills this bandwidth problem. If they don't they might as well just use GF2 cores with 200 MHz DDR RAM and rename them as NV20. :p
