Fat guy on the right.
My mom and brother-in-law came over to take him to the vet. I got him back in 1994, when I was still in community college. He died in my brother-in-laws arm about 2 minutes before he was gonna be put down.
I couldn't bear to go.
He started breathing very fast and very heavy the last 2 days, and I couldn't bear to see it anymore. I really wanted him to make it one last Christmas.
I am happy he went on his own, and in someones familiar arms, it makes me feel that he lived his whole life, and didn't have an artificial limit.
His death hit me harder than any other, because I am old enough to realize how permanent it is. I hope he is humping all those fly bitches in doggie heaven.
