Newegg seems to be having a large sale on Video Cards, Memory, Digital Cameras, and Networking Hardware.

This Leadtek 7800GT caught my eye, since it is JUST above that $299 mark.

Edit: Newegg suddenly decided to jack up the price. Thanks Dudewithoutapet for the heads up!

Depending on how it compares to the BFG 7800GT OC i got for slightly more, that seems like a great deal.

This is a good deal, just not quite as good as the $300 XFX 7800GT, IMO as that came with COD2 free also and free 2-day shipping, and reportedly better stability, BUT if u missed that this is still excellent.

Depends on the rest of your system and the specs you like to run everything at. The 7800GTX really only shines at 16x12 and up so you might want to invest in that.

As for the XFX deal, i wouldn't buy XFX. Rumor says they are getting better and more reliable, but with manf like Leadtek and EVGA (Leadtek especially) i am guaranteed the highest quality parts.

That EVGA is a pretty good deal as well.

If you want to have the highest settings.
Then no.

I had the GTX KO before, and I didn't like it with highest settings no AA/AF @ 1920x1200.

THen something was wrong. With a system like yours you should have absolutely no problems running BF2 with a 7800GTX, ESPECIALLY with no AA/AF.

This has got to have some of the worst rebate terms ever.

Rebate checks will be voided if not cashed within 15 days of issuance and cannot be re-issued.

I just received a rebate check from Motorola that was issued a month ago. They will probably issue the rebate checks and then delay mailing them so that no one will be able to cash them.

Not sure if the rebate is worth the risk IMO.
