Not so great quotes from movies?

Here's one of my favorites from Boiler Room:

It's the part where Seth has been arrested and is talking with the FBI agent (towards the end of the movie).

Agent: What are you offering?

Seth: I can hand you the firm on a silver platter. I know how Michael makes his money. What do you need from me exactly?

Agent: We're going to need a copy of your client list, and a full backup of your C: drive to a floppy disk.

no quote but remember where uzi falls down the stairs and kills all those terrorists in True Lies

that was one cheesy awful scene

Yep....Boiler Room
I just got finished watching it again tonight, as I've not seen it in a few years.

He does actually end up with a massive stack of Floppies doesnt he?... I can't remember... or does the movie lamely have him backing it up onto 1 or 2?

No, he's pushed for time and it only shows him backing up to a single floppy. It even shows the Explorer copy progress screen as he does the backup, but the backup only takes about 15-20 seconds.

LOL classic... reminds me of Swordfish, and that scene with Hugh Jackman programming and dancing.... sooooo stupid. Hollywood plays such close attention to details except when it comes to IT.

Even true computer movies... like Hackers... but they made up for it by having Angelina Jolie 😀

I laugh my ass off when I watch Hackers, talking about the latest technology and seeing their screens change so fast after boasting about the "latest 14.4 modem!"

I've never seen Swordfish, but your post reminded me of The Net (another computer related movie with Sandra Bullock). I wonder how many Hollywood inaccuracies are in it? It's been so long since I've seen it that I don't remember any details.

Angelina Jolie is in it, yes. In the theater version, she unzipped and stripped off her jacket completely off to show off her almost-mature boobies before tackling the lead star of the movie. In the rented version, when it came out, all she did was unzip her jacket before tackling him.

Wow, it sounds like the theatrical version really has its perks. 😀
