i have an install of win 98se that instead of shutting down when you choose shut down it reboots,
i moved this install to another set of hard ware and still wont shut down the psu it reboots it, any way to fix this without reinstalling

there's a patch for this released by microsoft... it only occurs with certain hardware combinations under 98.. search the anandtech threads for it (i know this was discussed in the last week or so) or search microsoft's technet for windows 98 shutdown fix...

uh, there is no how-to... it's a bug. there's a patch. if you don't want to download it, don't download it. too lazy to not even have to drag your ass out of your chair? whatever.

yeah, the sys the bug is occuring on is at home, i can only acces the web from work, no burner at work, only zip, no zip at home, and sys that i can access the web on at home has no burner, and seeing as how im banned from using web at home, at least if you could provide a direct link here for me, then maybe i could go to it quickly, dl it, then i can claim it was already there
