I have an HP Pavilion Onyx Blizzard laptop (Model# 15-cb035wm). The screen is cracked. I have been using it with an external monitor. However, it has been really glitchy lately and Google Chrome was not working with an error that I couldn't fix. So I wanted to just reset it. I did the recovery reset with the option to delete everything. I made sure to turn off "sleep" mode, etc. When I came back to it, the laptop is running, and the external monitor is not getting a signal (or at least there isnt anything on the screen and the monitor is still asleep). When I hit the esc or enter button, the laptop just beeps. I guess I can't see the bootup because there's only an HDMI connection here (I think?), which really sucks. Not sure what to do here.
Am I out of luck?
PS I have shut it down to restart. Not working.
Update:
A quick search and I see that the LCD needs to be disconnected from the laptop so that the laptop will default to the external monitor. Unless there is better advice, can someone tell me where I can go to find instructions on how to take this laptop apart to do that?
