Not recognizing the 200gig HD.

First, lets post system information:

DFI Lanparty nfi4 ut
AMD Athlon Xp 64 3500+
2x512 Mushkin ddr dual channel ram pc3200
500wt psu atx, 24pin
western digital 200gig hd, 7200rpm, 8meg cache..
BFG Vid card, 128meg, pciexpress, geforce..

NOW for the problem!

I have windowsXP pro, its only recognizing 130gigs or so of the HD when I have a 200gig western digital drive... how can i make this read the whole HD?
 
One solution is to slipstream Service Pack 2 into your Windows installation files, make a bootable CD from the updated installation files, and use that to reinstall Windows. Do a Google for "Slipstream SP2" and you should get some leads 🙂
 
Requirements for support of 48-bit LBA (137Gb HDD size limit):

Windows 2000 with Service Pack 3 or better or XP with Service Pack 1
or You must enable the support in the Windows registry.
48bit LBA support for ATAPI in W2K (http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;305098)
Enable 48bit LBA for ATAPI in XP (http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;303013)

and

48bit LBA (Large Block Addressing) mobo BIOS support (check for updates)
or
Chipset Driver patch in some cases see Intel Driver updates below
