well fry's have those 29 cents GQ cdrws that everyone should stay away from. i've been using those for small data transfers, so it doesnt matter what i use before.... BUT, recently, i got a napa dav 310 mp3 cd player. those crappy GQs will skip like a mother if i pop those CDs in there. what i really want is opinions from u guys:

which brand of cdrws do u guys use? (or stay away from?)

and which brand of cdrs do u guys use? (or stay away from?)

thanx!!

Try asking in the "General Hardware" forum. You're just going to get flamed here, and your thread is going to get locked! ;)

u should just get cdr's instead of cdrw's, cd players have diffucutly reading rw's, they're cheaper anyways so might as well

sony/ricoh/kodak/verbatim/maxell/memorex are reliable. i think you'll be safe with the rule " darker the better" (for the backside)

btw, you should post in general hardware forum next time

Yes to what SnoopCat said!

I buy whatever is on sale and has a pretty picture on the box.

Seriously, what I said in the line above is close to the truth. TDK, Maxel, Sony have all been fine for me (written on my plextor 8/20 cdr, playing on various computer CD rom drives and various home and car stereos). I bought 40 "hypermedia" cdrs for about 50 cents each (with jewell boxes) and so far I have used 7 of them and they have been fine (rated at 12x speed).
