I just noticed an unusual thing just a few minutes ago:
After I successfully burned some files to a disc (Nero and with an equally successful data verification), I closed the dvd tray to recheck the files in My Computer. As the lid closed and the green light powered up, I heard a faint beep - just 1 short beep - that didn't come from the speaker. It sounded internal and I am assuming it came from the mobo. Disc read fine and there was no error whatsoever in the system logs.
I just want to know if this is normal or if there is an underlying problem.. because beeps long after the pc has started up make my warning bells ring.
Thanks!
(did a bit of quick reading and noticed that problems are usually heralded by either 2 beeps or 1 long beep... was never able to find a 1 short beep error so far)
