Hi all, we need a dial-up modem for a business application, and this new D-Link works well when installed and running, however every morning the PC reports the modem as no present in the phone & modems app in control panel, so we have to disconnect and re-connect and install the drivers again.
I have tried several USB ports, motherboard mounted and front cable attached to no avail.
I have checked the web-site on both Lenovo (8289-G4M) and D-Link for known issue and are currently contemplating flashing the BIOS, although the release notes dont state any USB fixes and I have yet to check release info on the PC.
Does anyone have any ideas?....there is no firmware updates for the modem, could it be faulty?
Could it be a software issue, XP Pro, SP2
