Assuming the UPS prices are cheaper than the old FedEx prices were, I don't see why this is a bad thing. If they kept the old shipping prices then increased the FedEx prices, though, that's bad. But it could just be due to increased gas prices...
 
UPS has destroyed (2) packages for me, and always delivers at the most inconvenient times... Fedex is much much better in my area!
 
Fedex Express Saver always reaches me (near Santa Fe, NM) a day ahead of schedule, and FAST - usually the third business day after order. The last time I ordered from Newegg (last week) Fedex was still cheaper than UPS.

Neither company is supposed to leave a package unsigned for unless you have a letter of assent to do so on file with them. I gave letters to both.

I have had problems with Fedex delivering my packages. They say they stopped by to attempt to deliver when they never actually did so I have to drive down to get it. UPS never did that to me.
 
like a $200 order, possibly when I ordered MB or HD, was left on a stranger's door two blocks away by fedex once. I don't even have a signed permission to leave at my own house.
Fortunately that person brought it over. They said they found it on their doorstep.
 
Somewhere, I saw that Newegg shipped over 18,000 orders daily!
I imagine UPS has been chasing that account for quite some time. 😀😀😀
 
I've had trouble with Fedex, but I would ship with just about anyone other than UPS. They never deliever on time and usually cost more. UPS and Newegg :thumbsdown:
 
What are some other favorite online computer stores that are the favorites here at anand? I have been a long time newegg customer but with this chnage I am not sure if I should go elsewhere. Please lmk what you think. Thanks
 
This should be in Brag & Moan, no? Anyway if you have a problem with one shipper's service make sure you complain and they will most likely remedy the situation. I like both UPS and PlanEx, oops I mean, FedEx.
 
UPS has typically been slower for me on the east coast of Florida. Now that I'm in Orlando, I don't know how the tides will change.
 
Just hope you never need to make an insurance claim with UPS. It is nearly impossible to get them to admit fault. If you read the fine print of what you are signing, you will see that they have ridiculous requirements as far as packing goes in order to collect on insurance. I have never had a problem with claims from FedEx however. I have also found that at least here in Louisville, FedEx Ground is always cheaper than UPS Ground.
 
People can't complain about individual drivers. When I was growing up we had the same UPS driver forevery until he retired. He was great and we would give him warm cookies and milk and he always had something to talk about. Now with FedEx and all the others, I don't know a driver at all.

The drivers don't control the quality of the packages when they arrive, it all happened before they jumped in their trucks. That said FedEx>DHL>USPS>UPS for packages.
 
Fedex = if it gets here early I get it early.

UPS = if it gets here early, they will sit on it up to and over a week instead of moving the delivery date forward.

Yeah. Ups can kiss my ass.
 
Wow that blows. Are the FedEx shipping prices the same?? This doesnt look good for FedEx... if UPS is cheaper most people will send that way. Boooooo newegg boooo. Man, time to find a new place to shop... course i havent bought anything from them for my new computer I'm putting together -- go figure 🙂
