Not happy with my cell phone

So im not happy with my cell phone. I dont like the ringtones, and hate the reception. Problem is, i dropped the stupid thing getting out of my truck. Nothing really bad, but there is a spec of paint missing here or there. Do you think the verizon store will allow me to try another phone? Im still within that 15 day return time. Think using my 2 year contract as leverage will work?

Well thats the plan. Just coming in to see if anyone else has attempted this and what their experiences are. Funny how this board is full of people with an attitude like yours.

What phone is it? Just ordered new phones from Verizon, I hope I don't hate them. As for dabuddha's post, well, I don't think it's a bad attitude, it's just that sometimes there's not much to be said besides the obvious.

What phone? With GIN & Free Internet, shouldn't you be able to get just about any ringtone you want?

well i'd recommend the lg vx6000 from verizon...if u get the data cable, u can put on ur own ringtones.

you take any mp3 you want, edit it (i used nero wav editor) so its mono and no more than 25 seconds long to conserve space, then save it as an mp3. rename it from .mp3 to .mid, then use bitpim to copy it over to ur phone. sounds strange i know but trust me it works!

within 15 days ? why wouldn't you be able to return it ? That's their policy. Don't mention the missing paint.

BTW, what phone ? My free Kyocera phone sucks a$$ in terms of reception - always beeping in and out - but my fiancee's VX6000 also on VZW is always good. Goes to show the phone matters.

that one is at least newer than mine... the kyocera 2325. The company makes decent phones... but I think these are just bottom of the line at this point. Go get another one since you're still within your 15 days. Pay $100 for the VX6000 if you have to. I personally don't like flip phones. I'm dying to blow $400 on the Treo 600 soon now that VZW picked it up.
