Hi,
I Love my brother HL-1440
I am annoyed w/ the gray spotty crap that's coming out on pages. It's like a shade of gray on them...and looks crappy.
how do I fix this poo? any other owners encounter this schtuff?

HI, i've found that if you just take them apart, and wash them in warm water, they work great afterwards. Just make sure they are nice and dry. Theres a brush that extends the length of the drum that takes a long time to dry. I like to let them dry for a good couple days. Hope this helps!
me: R U serious?

Yes, I am 100% serious. Take the toner/drum assembly out. Take the toner off, and all thats left is the drum. There should be 3 screws, take the top off, and there will be a fuzzy strip that sweeps the drum. There are 2 screws holding that on, so you take those off and you run the green drum assembly and the fuzzy strip under running water.
well, I didn't wash the green cylinder...but I did wash the brush-type-thingy off. 🙂 It's drying now... we'll see how it werks! It look sWAAAAAAAY better now tho! 🙂
does anyone know how to get page counts from this stinkin' printer? I tried the parallel thing...but haven't found the option! 🙁 grrrrrrrr.
