I'm using a Compaq R4000, but i can't get any internet connect even when i connect it with RJ45 cable to router. my using Belkin 2.4Ghz 802.11B wireless router Model :F5D6231-4 version 2002.

Any idea what's wrong?

Is DHCP on? Try turning it on and rebooting after you plug it in.

Check IP addresses and see if the first three number groups match.

Etc.

make sure the router has a working WAN connection first. Go to your admin page for the router, its either http://192.168.0.1 or similiar, look it up in the manual. It should tell you its DHCP settings (for the WAN), such as default gateway and ip address

if you cannot get to that admin page, then check your local ip address with command ipconfig /all, it should be 192.168. something, if not, your router isn't configured correctly and needs restarting (usually small button on the back).
