Who, exactly, is paying for this "event"?Originally posted by: Sudheer Anne
Umm please, some of the most brilliant minds have been developed and created in Berkeley. Condemning their teachers is something only ignorance can produce. Unless you have visited the campus and interacted with a good portion of the students, don't comment on Berkeley because you dont know.
Nobody is refusing rights, if you want to sing the anthem and hold your own service you could do it at Berkeley, but the event that these students are organizing doesn't include it. Presence, FFMCobalt, the more you speak the dumber and far more ignorant you sound compared to these Berkeley whackos.
Is it not the University, that is financed with tax dollars?
If I am mistaken, please feel free to correct me.

I'll say who the hell cares? If there happens to be a few tax dollars going into this (which there might not) then it's for an event to remember the people who died on 9/11. What's the problem with that? You want to have some control over the event too? Tell them to sing certain songs?
It is an event to remember the dead and nothing more...get over it.

i disagree, some people place academics higher than such trivial matters.
I agree. That's why institutions like Berkeley will continue to lose standing among those who actually have the authority to hire, in terms of the perceived quality of the education it provides. IMHO, you're tossing your money away attending an institution like that, you're being indoctrinated, and paying heavily for the priviledge. In fact, you're subsidizing it.
My, my - hostile aren't we?I'll say who the hell cares? I have no problem with anything, and I desire no control at all.
I asked a question about taxes, as do many who wonder where their money goes.
There is really nothing for me to "get over", but thanks for caring anyway.

By allowing this extremely vocal and militant minority to run amok unopposed (like FFM Colbalt), ATOT has allowed themselves to be identified with their views, and their views alone.By allowing this extremely vocal and militant minority to run amok unopposed, Berkeley's admin and student body have allowed themselves to be identified with their views, and their views alone.

They try but ATOT is often described as a bastion of Muddle minded Ulra Conservatives..Ok that's how they describe ATOT at Ars (when they are being generous) and we know Ars is a place run by Liberal PedophilesThe militant liberals oppose them in every thread and vice-versa.

Ain't that the truth!never go anywhere/post anything at ars except in the Soap Box. To simply describe most of the people there as simply "liberal" would be the same as calling Jerry Falwell simply "conservative".
