Not Enuff Space for O/S Install

I'm beginning to install WinXp on a brand new machine, and upon doing so in DOS, it tells me that I don;t have enough hard disk space used for temporary files.

What's odd is that I've got a brand new 250 GB drive!!!

I've made sure the entire partition is formatted, and is a primary drive. What else am I missing?
