I have a 430watt Thermaltake TR2, been noticing some flickering and errors lately could it be possible that its not enough? I know a x1900xt they recommend 450w and with a dual core opty, 2 hdd, 2 dvd-rw im thinkin this could be the cause of it

430 watts should be plenty but how much of that power is dedicated to the 12v rails?

Modern systems can draw up to 90% of their power from 12v rails and Thermaltake is still selling 400+ watt units with only 18 amps of 12v power, pathetic.

Clock all your hardware down and unhook everything that isn't required and use your system. It sounds like the power supply doesn't have enough power to me too.

Yea, if you're going for a RAM brand PSU, stick with either the Corsair 620W (Seasonic), or the OCZ GameXstream series (FSP). Enhance seems to be (in general) the best price/performance though.

450W should be enough, from a good manufacturer. If your not going crossfire in the future, then a 485W Enermax Noisetaker should be good.
Found on ewiz for $75 IIRC.

I just research the enhance and ordered it, from what I could tell it is also the silverstone and a aska, all which got great reviews. I upgrade very often so I figured I might as well get something that will handle sli or crossfire or anything else ill need in the next 3-5 years.

tt makes bad psus, you'll need a new one if u want that x1900xt to run well. i suggest looking into FSP, seasonic, enermax in the 500watt+range
