Not detecting USB mouse / keyboard ?

When I boot up, right when I need to click on the User Icon to login to WinXP, my mouse and keyboard don't work and the lights are out on them.

I unplug them and plug them in again and they are recognized immediately and work.

This just started a few weeks ago and since I never reboot, it hasn't been a problem.

Any ideas?
 
Hmmm... looks like they are getting Yellow Exclamation marks in device manager. I made it auto login, so and plugged in just the mouse to check the deivce manager. The keyboard shows up as a Human Interface Device and it is yellow. When I unplug it and replug it in, it turn normal (not yellow).
