Not detecting hardware

I just had to replace the hard drive on a Dell Inspiron 610m and after installing XP, none of the internal hardware on the laptop was detected (network card, video card, audio card, etc.). I always thought that the hardware would be automatically detected. It wasn't, so I tried using the dell resource CD but it didnt seem to have any of the drivers. Does anyone know why this is happening? I went through the add new hardware wizard multiple times. In Device Manager, the devices are all have yellow question marks, so I know they're being detected. They just all don't have drivers. Does anyone know what I'm supposed to do? Thanks!

the resource cd that CAME WITH the dell doesn't have the right drivers? that's awesome! i tried looking up the 610m on dell's website, and it isn't even an option for searching for drivers. you can try putting in the service tag # and searching for all your drivers on their website. they probably just didn't feel like putting the 610m in it's own section, since it's probably the same thing as the 600m. just go to http://support.dell.com/suppor...=04&l=en&s=bsd and put in your service tag and see what pops up. good luck.
