Not critical, but a Sony Z GPU question I've had for a while

So one of the egregious things about the Sony Z (the new one) is that the drivers don't support the full features of the Intel HD 3000.

Case in point, OpenGL support issue - I've read that it only supports 1.1 due to limitations with the AMD-written switching driver which means they - AMD - put a really old Intel HD driver in there (correct me if I'm talking out of my ass here). Sure, the OpenGL support is kind of moot if you're trying to do anything real-time even if you had the proper driver, but it would be nice to have for more static stuff on the move. I'd like 2.x support if possible, and I'm wondering if there's a way to do it without breaking anything. It can apparently be solved if you remove the ability for the Light Peak-connected GPU to kick in, but that's not ideal.

Any ideas?

Interesting background. I guess I'll have to talk to Sony about it and see what can be done. With the HD3000 acting more like a GMA950, I have issues.

Sony's just bad at updating drivers in general. I have a laptop that was originally released with XP and Vista yet they don't have 64 bit drivers for everything. And 32 bit display driver is proprietary so generic nVidia drivers don't work. I had to mod the inf file to enable features like display rotation. Maybe you can look into that.
