Not car related, but tools: Dremel attachment question

It's Cub Scout Pinewood Derby time once again. For the past few years, I've been using my Dremel to polish the axles (with my son's help. ;-) )

Problem is that the axle doesn't fit "snugly". I have to wrap some cardboard around the nail used as the axle. Seems rather kludgy.

Can anyone recommend a better solution? With the proliferation of Dremel attachments out there, there has to be an adjustable (mandril?) or whatever they call it. Thanks.

I assume the axle is slipping out of the groove? I've used super glue in the past.

Did you "over polish" it so that it's too thin now?

[edit]In re-reading, I think now that your Dremel isn't snugly holding the axle while you polish it. I haven't had that problem, mine seems to fit pretty well.

They have an adjustable chuck and also different sized mandrels. An adj. chuck is about $10 at any hardware store.

I don't want a Dremel EZ402 EZ Lock Mandrel like this, do I?

If not, and if anyone can find a picture of what I'm looking for online, I'd appreciate it.
