Not at home Deliveries?

I ordered a Samsung 710T from Dell the other day and its more than likely to arrive on my doorstep on Monday. The thing is, I wont be home on Monday from around 6:30 in the morning to 4:30 in the evening. During that time, if they deliver and I'm not home, will they just leave it on the porch? I'm scared it'll get stolen, any options?

ups won't leave it. fedex and usps may if you sign a note. otherwise just call the delivery service and arrange to pick it up at a local hub.

If Fedex you need to sign a waiver saying they can leave it when no one is home. Fedex will take it back to their main unit at which will be on the slip on the door. You can pick it up there after 6:00 I believe or you can sign the door tag and put it back on your door knob for the next day. UPS doesn't give a rats ass. I remember back when we ordered complete systems to my house and 3 boxes that had pictures of what was inside were on my doorstep I quickly changed to fedex. Nice neighborhood but I don't trust anyone.
