The fact that half this country hates the bastige is proof enough he needs to go.

And the other half hates Kerry. Your point is moot.

our democracy is designed for 51% of the population to be able to take the rights away from, or impose there beliefs on the other 49%

I wonder what it would take to get a presidential candidate that 95% of the ppl like.....it would almost be like living in a.....UNITED states of america......

BTW, can any of you Bushies tell me a little about his service record during Vietnam?

Yeah, he was in the ANG - which means he did nothing. Big suprise there. No one in the ANG did anything except practice intercepting Soviet bomber formations.

*I guess you could say that Bush defended our country due to the fact that the Soviets never attacked.

I don't understand why Kerry is hopping his campaign up with his Vietnam record, whether he deserved his medals or not, that doesn't make him any more fit to be President than anyone else. It's great that he served our country, but he's shouldn't be using that as his crutch in this election.

He touts his record, everywhere, in every speech, but when someone challenges his record he thinks it's unfair and that Bush is behind it all. And then he complains that Bush isn't talking about the real issues. I think the only people that are trying to talk about Vietnam and make a big deal about it are the Dems.

Is there really such a thing as a Kerry "supporter". I mean, no one with a brain can really think this guy is qualified to be President. Can they? In 25 years as a politician he has done absolutely nothing. He is the quintessential Empty Suit.
You may be a Bush hater. But, you can't possibly like Kerry. Hell, I don't even know what his position is on anything.........

protesting is a waste of time and just screws up people who are trying to get from point A to point B. Good call on the judge's part.

It's funny how someone can claim to be for canidate X but not even know the issues. For those of you that are so ignorant to have a political opinion but not know what the canidate stands for go here.

Well, I wouldn't say never. (or an actual winning cause: .The march on washington)

Anyway, it's been a long standing fallacy that people can just get together and protest or rally wherever/whenever they want. One need only look through supreme court cases or bill of rights annotations to see this

Yet, Bush still leads in the polls. Oh, the irony.

What polls show him leading? Harris (which I believe is historically the most accurate) has the race as a virtual dead heat, but Zogby and all the other major polls, save Gallup, show Sen Kerry leading by a significant margin. Gallup does indeed show President Bush in the lead among likely voters, but calls the race a tie among registered voters.

Interestingly, Harris shows GWB's Aug approval rating just below where Ford's was in Aug 76.

Various poll results

Weren't some of the big Central Park concerts a lot bigger than 250,000? A quick google search gives a figure of 500,000 for the Simon & Garfunkel 1981 show there.

To those of you who claim you will not vote for Kerry because you don't know his positions, look them up for pete's sake. You'd research a car before buying one, wouldn't you? A well informed electorate is the backbone of any democracy.

I don't think the lawn in Central Park can hold 250,000 people, so I can't say if I disagree with the judge.

But I hope they rally anyways, and cause mayhem to distract from the convention. Anything to get Bush's public image farther down the toilet.

God bless you peace-luvin' hippies

Don't you morons think that the security and related costs to deal with 250k in a short amount of time is going to be overwhelming? It's NY's tax dollars that are going to be paying for it.

Grow up

The organizers asked for a permit in January so this is hardly a short amount of time. If anything it's the cities fault for dragging their feet. And to those people who say the lawn can't handle it.. there were 85k people at the Dave Matthews concert there last year and no one seemed to complain about the lawn then.
