There are Walmart owned vision centers, and then there are independantly owned vision centers.

Prices are higher at the independantly owned ones (at least on lenses, but i bet it everything else too since Walmart has better buying power):

Walmart owned- Polycarb high index lenses (Nikon) comes w/Antireflective, scratch resistance, UV protection built in-> $110
Independantly owned- Polycarb high index ($84) + AR (40) + UV (15) = $139

no, no..all these stores are in walmart. but some of the vision centers in them are owned by walmart, and others are a private chain (National Vision Center, i think).

i called 1 walmart near my house, and they quoted me a $110 price. and i went to the walmart near work, thinking it's all the same. found out that it's not.

my point is just to let eveyone know that walmart vision centers are not all the same! call around and ask if the vision center is owned directly by walmart, or not.
