Not able to use WPCREDIT to change register 52 on EPoX 8KTA3?

I have tried to change register 52 to EB as often recommended to allow the CPU to idle properly. It is presently set at 6C. However, if I change it to EB, as soon as I hit return, it changes to EC. This is both in WPCREDIT and WPCRSET.

Has anyone had this experience?

my system does the same thing ec.....will not stay at eb ec does work though try it and watch your temps drop mine did
